Weekend Lines for Rentals at Snowbowl exceed 2 hours! And they run out of gear
Yes, it’s true. Weekend rental lines at Snowbowl can run 1 to 2 1/2 hours and you can get turned away after waiting in the cold for 2 hours. Then you are pissed, have to drive back to town and wait in hopes of getting gear because you and all your new found friends from waiting in line at Snowbowl scramble to get gear and then drive back up to the mountain in hopes that the parking lots haven’t filled up yet. Anyways, the moral of the story is this. Rent in town, save yourselves a huge headache. It is warm in our store, we have a great espresso bar and a big screen tv to check out the latest board videos, X Games or whatever else is on the tv. Our longest wait is never over 45 minutes unless Snowbowl turns people away and then we are inundated with an immense number of people. We do our best to get you in and out and when you come in we will let you know right away what we are low on and where else we can recommend depending on what we are running out of. We open at 7 am for rentals 7 days a week so come on in and have a more pleasurable rental experience. If you don’t believe us, go try it once at Snowbowl. They are our best “marketing tool” since they don’t seem to do anything to alleviate this problem. Unfortunately you can’t buy lift tickets in town anywhere either, but that is a whole ‘nother blog posting and line to wait in, so we will just leave it at that. RENT IN TOWN, whether it is from us or our competitors. We want you to have a pleasurable ski vacation, it shouldn’t be a headache and hassle.

When the weather permits, we have a full selection of snowboards for both adults and children of all ages. Our ski selection is geared more towards older children and adults. In the spring, summer and fall we are also a full service bicycle shop. We certainly have our hands full changing with the seasons and with the addition of our incredibly successful coffee bar.
We also offer sleds, discs, inner tubes, snow pants and boots, gloves and hats for keeping you and your family warm. We are also very happy to direct you to the sledding areas, great restaurants, and places to stay and things to do.
Directions From I-17 North coming from Phoenix, Tucson, Prescott, Sedona, etc
As you are nearing the I-40/I-17 interchange, stay in the left lane of I-17 and follow the signs to Flagstaff. You will go under I-40 and proceed North to where the freeway ends and turns into Milton Road. Continue heading North (the direction you are heading) past the Denny’s on your right and continue driving for about 2 miles. You will be approaching the only bridge on Milton and the road will bend hard right and turns into Route 66. You will want to get into the left lane and get ready to turn left at the first stoplight which is Humphreys Street/Hwy 180. You can only turn left on Humphreys. Continue North towards the mountains and you will go up a hill. Crest a hill and continue 2 blocks and we are on your left in a freestanding brick building next to a car wash on your left.
